Speedway 500 Moose Family Center Welcomes Supreme Governor Liguori Saladin
Supreme Governor Liguori Saladin will be our Guest of Honor on Friday, March 26th at 6:30PM.
Supreme Governor Liguori Saladin was elected to this post May 25, 2009 at the 121st International Convention in Chicago, after having served as Supreme Jr. Governor in 2008-2009 and Supreme Prelate in 2007-2008. Liguori had been elected to the Supreme Council, the Fraternity's highest governing body, in 2001 at the 113th International Convention in Las Vegas, after having served since 1992 on the Moosehaven Board of Directors.
Liguori joined the Moose in 1968 as a member of Tampa, FL Lodge 1146. He served all chairs; including that of Governor. Liguori was instrumental in instituting North Hillsboro Lodge 1741 and served as its Secretary for four years and Trustee for two years. He also helped institute Land O'Lakes Lodge 1903 and served as Secretary until 1985, when he moved to become Administrator of St. Petersburg Lodge 1145, from which he retired in 1998.
A member of Orange Blossom Moose Legion 125, Liguori served as North Moose in 1976-77. He has served the Florida/Bermuda Moose Association as District President, Prelate, Vice President, and President; and as Association Secretary since 1985. At the International level, Liguori served as Assistant Outer Guard, Inner Guard, and Sgt.-at-Arms at various International Conventions. A member of the 250 division of the 25 Club, he was awarded the Fellowship Degree of Honor in 1976, and the Pilgrim Degree of Merit in 1984.
Now retired, Liguori previously worked for the Tampa Police Department. He and his wife Ann reside in Tampa. They are the parents of 13 children, and are grandparents to 30 more.
